From Pastor Kevin...
Welcome Pastor Kevin Hall...and Mason!
We would like to welcome Pastor Kevin Hall and his son Mason to Greenfield First United Methodist Church.
Pastor Kevin grew up in Middletown, Ohio, and is a graduate of Madison High School. Pastor Kevin then continued his education at Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Pastor Kevin went on to serve in Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky where he led young people to Christ as a youth pastor for 14 years.
In 2012, after serving seven years as Senior Pastor, he had the opportunity to go to seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. It was there that Pastor Kevin was approached to preach a revival in Alger, Ohio at the Alger First United Methodist Church. Pastor Kevin met Steve Bennett, who was the District Superintendent of the Northwest Plains District, and discussed becoming a United Methodist pastor. After much prayer, fasting and consideration of his family heritage of being a Methodist, he answered the call to Ridgeway-Mt. Victory charge as a full-time pastor.
In September of 2015, Pastor Kevin answered the call to serve and lead GFUMC. He was introduced to the congregation on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 and hasn't looked back!
Pastor Kevin is the proud father of Mason Hall, a third grader at Greenfield Elementary who is adjusting very well to his new school. Mason’s interests are wrestling, wrestling, and wrestling!!! Mason loves going fishing, playing video games, and going to flea markets.
Pastor Kevin is our new part-time pastor while he completes his course of study in the field of ministry. Pastor Kevin will be doing as much as he can within the part-time limitations to help lead our church congregation to serve our community and bring others to Christ. Pastor Kevin and our District Superintendent, Brent Watson, pray for the continued growth to where this relationship becomes a full-time appointment.
Again, we welcome Pastor Kevin and Mason to our family, our community and our church!
